I do not visit electoral-vote.com everyday but this election season, it's better than TV. I especially like that it gives space and info on the house and senate races all over the country. House races rarely get any press so it's kind of neat to read about. This year it seems like scandal is everywhere so it's neat to see how those scandals play in the polls (I especially like the notes on New York's 13th district - it's like a soap opera!).

Anyone else check electoral-vote.com? Which other sites are there to find info on the polls?

Ever since you posted about electoral-vote.com, I've become an addict. I check it every morning, and every evening, and cheer the blue states on.

Sometimes a state gets redder, and then it's sad. :(

But mostly, this is a great website for the election season!

I'm never quite sure how I feel about their decision to count statistically insignificant advantages one way or the other.

Right now they have Obama winning in a landslide, but that's thanks to 1-3% advantages in swing states that could easily reverse even by just taking another survey.

On the other hand, it also frustrates me to look at other maps and see both candidates like 50 electoral votes away from 270 and thinking "this doesn't tell me a damn thing! Can I at least know which way the swing states are leaning?"
Hundred dollars? I could get some Freon with that!

On the graphs page they show two graphs, one that just counts everything and then one that leaves off all of the states where one candidate doesn't have at least a 5 or 10 percent advantage (I can't remember what the cut off is). The second graph is more accurate to the current count on it states.
